The Grande Bibliothèque, a vast public space of 33,000 square metres in the heart of Québec's largest city, is an exceptional cultural venue providing open and free access to more than four million items, including two million books. Essentially, all collections are part of two major ones: a Universal Circulating Collection and the National Collection.
In addition, the Grande Bibliothèque provides specialized services for, among other groups, children ages 0 to 13, teenagers, business people, newcomers to Québec, members of cultural communities and persons with visual or other impairments.
