The economics and business collection

Located on Level 2 of the Grande Bibliothèque, the economics and business collection covers all disciplines relating to economics and management. Among other things, there are documents on the various sectors of economic activity, entrepreneuring and business plans, the economy, work, management, finance, cooperatives, international trade, real estate, natural resources, job searching, communications and transportation.

In addition to a large selection of monographs, the collection includes a number of reference works, such as directories, compendiums of statistics, dictionaries, and directories of companies and organizations covering Québec, Canada and foreign countries.

Users can follow economic news in more than 125 specialized periodicals to which the library has subscriptions. They can also use a large number of data banks, such as Eureka, Business Reference Suite and ABI/Inform, to find and retrieve articles.

A number of other electronic resources are available, including the Gale Directory Library and Thomas Net company directories and a number of sources of financial information such as Mergent Online.

The collection will meet the expectations of business people, professionals and independent workers, as well as those of job seekers and the general public.
